Description
Gunnar Berger & Son were a company that produced wooden toys, puzzles and construction sets under the trade name Texas Toys. Established in 1957 by Swedish immigrant Gunnar Berger, the factory was located on the outskirts of Eltham and continued operation until 1983. Many of the sales were ex-factory or by mail order.
Archive consists of a Texas Toys catalogue printed in 1979, an instruction booklet for the Silhouette Puzzle and an Instruction for Soma Cube puzzle (photocopy)

Public comments
The w e b is confusing Fun Ho toys with ‘Gunnar Berger’. There has never been any connection with the two companies, although Fun Ho was also in Taranaki - but was located in Inglewood - making metal toys - not wooden toys!
