027: Came to New Zealand under Labour Dept assisted passage. Relates how he came to emigrate and his upbringing in Holland. Came to New Zealand 1952 and worked on forestry and the dairy industry near Invercargill. Talks of living and working in Otara, Southland. Decided to study for Dip Dairy Manufacturing and Massey University. In 1958 moved to Kaupokonui, Auroa, Oeo and Kiwi Dairy factories.
028: Amalgamation of Joel and Kaupokonui dairy factories and Kaponga and Stratford. Talks of rationalisation of Taranaki's dairy industry and the development of the Kiwi Co-Operative Dairies. Talks of tankers, employment of women, closure of Te Ngutu. Kiwi/Moanui merger, hygiene standards, markets.
