1. Letter (original) from McLean to the chiefs of the Ngati Maniapoto residing at Mokau (Wetini, Pikaokau, Kaharoa). The letter is dated 8th June 1879. He writes complaining of the obstruction of the Queens mail between Auck and NP. The letter is written in Maori

3. Typescript headed Donald McLean Papers File 123. A report of the exploring expedition from NP through the NZ Co settlement over the part of the middle range commonly known as Batu-wa, to Mt Egmont by Edwin Davy Snr and Robert Gillingham. 1847
