Copy of part of a journal. Annotation on the top of the first page reads 'McLean, Donald. Journal of Sir Donald McLean 1839-1877 Vol 3 1850-51 Ms(1286)'.
The original is held in the Wanganui Regional Museum.The journal describes a trip over land from New Plymouth to Wanganui, giving Maori place names and people he met on the way such as HeuHeu. He travelled with William Cutfield King who also kept a journal.
