Description
Titled 'Memories', this is the reminiscence of Dorothy (Doss) Mackay, second daughter of Mable Rose (nee Foster) and Hilton George Olliver. Doss describes her childhood in Kaponga and later the Opunake area. She describes her teenage years, and her life bringing up children (after marriage to Ross Mackay). She includes the war years, family life, raising chickens, describing moving to various places (Taranaki and Horowhenua) and her worries over the health and welfare of her son Andrew who later became a resident at Kimberley, near Levin.
