Transcript of an oral history recording in which Gerald Lance Gower (1924-2001) talks to Taranaki historian, and former mayor of Stratford, David Ernest Walter about the Marangae Valley in northeast Taranaki.
Gerald describes access to the area 1896-1904 and relates stories about some of the settlers.
Includes a covering letter from the donor David Walter regarding a manuscript history of the Marangae Valley written by Derek Morris.
