Description
The inaugural meetings of Heritage Incorporated, North and South Taranaki branches were held in 1944, the aim being to provide financial support to the children of servicemen who had died during the war or as a result of war and whose descendants had been disadvantaged by the loss of their parent. Assistance was given for the education, development and advancement of these children. Particular emphasis was placed on caring for those who were not entitled to a war pension.
The organization was wound up in 1993
The collection consists of the minutes for the Heritage South Taranaki 1944 - 1978, the minutes for Heritage North Taranaki 1959 - 1993, correspondence and a financial journal (Heritage North Taranaki) 1970 - 92
