 Description
Oral history. Alison Robinson talks with Alex Carrie, 3 Falstaff Street, Stratford on 12th October 1998. Alex worked as hospital painter 1964 - 1968 and 1978 - 1991. He came to New Zealand as an assisted emigrant in 1964 and shortly after joined the maintenance staff at Stratford Hospital. He talks of the work, relates stories and mentions many of the staff.
Recorded as part of Alison's research into her publication Stratford Hospital Memories. (Interview No 43). No abstract has been made. An edited transcript is available.
