 Description
Oral history. Alison Robinson talks with Leslie White of 86 Hamlet Street, Stratford on 25th August 1998. Leslie nursed in Stratford Hospital as a trainee and nurse 1954 - 1958 and again as a supervisor (Principal Nurse) 1962 - 1986. She describes Matron Anderson, the nursing home, ward rounds etc. She tells stories of escapades of both staff and patients (with names). She retired in 1986 but continued with some casual work.
Oral history. Recorded as part of Alison's research into her publication Stratford Hospital Memories. No abstract has been made. An edited transcript is available.
