Description
Oral history. Alison Robinson talks with Freda McKinlay (nee Widmer) of Juliet Street, Stratford 1998. Freda talks of working in the laundry in the Stratford Hospital. The interview is approximately 156 mins in duration.
Also on side one, at the completion of Freda's interview is nn interview with G. L. John, who was known as Jimmy John of Craig Street Stratford 18th March 1989. Jimmy was a patient in Stratford Hospital in 1942, 1973 and 1974. He talks of the hospital routines from a patients perspective.
Both interviews were recorded as part of Alison's research into her publication Stratford Hospital Memories. No abstract has been made. An edited transcript is available.
