Oral history. Alison Robinson talks with Emily Cook (nee Lamason) recorded 9th January 1989. Emily talks of her family background (gold mining in South Island and the hardships for women) and her early childhood. She speaks of the Seddon family of Kumara, of her schooling and time at Teachers Training College. She talks of teaching at New Plymouth Girls; High School and of her association with the Methodist church.
Part of the Central Taranaki Methodists project. Also used in the compiling of Women and Children First. Edited transcript available. No abstract has been made.
