Description
Frank Messenger, son of Colonel William Messenger, was born 1863. During his architectural training he spent twenty years with the firm Oakes and Kemp, Melbourne before returning to New Plymouth, where he set up his own practice.
The plans and specifications related to New Plymouth buildings. These include alterations to St Mary's Church, the Primitive Methodist Church, the White Hart Hotel, the New Plymouth Post Office and the Bank of New Zealand.
