 Description
The formation of a committee to control the development and improvement of aerodromes in the Taranaki region was advocated by a conference held in June 1929. As a result, the North Taranaki Aviation Committee was formed. It was comprised of members from the Clifton County, Inglewood Borough, New Plymouth Borough, the Taranaki County Councils and the Plymouth Aero Club.
A minute book used for minutes of the North Taranaki Aviation Committee, June - August 1929, plus newspaper clippings on related topics, including tours of inspection by government officials, of sites at Eltham, Hawera and Bell Block.
