Born in Kaponga, 1923, Rex Cossey had a passion for cycling, riding for recreation and competition. While working in a sports shop, Cossey began adapting bike frames, at first for himself and later for others.
In 1998, Trish Nugent, Registrar, Taranaki Museum, was researching the history of cycling in Taranaki. At her request, Ian Hill asked Rex Cossey to make notes on his onvolvement in the sport.
Photos were loaned to the Museum for copying and while unidentified are thought to be of the Cossey family. (neg LN44089 - LN4093)
Is there anymore know about Rex Cossey, as I have recently purchase a Cossey bike and I'm interested to know more about the maker of the bike.
