Description
The collection consists of two letters written by William Berridge, while at Smeeton Academy (boarding school). The latter is addressed to the writer's father at Kilby. The letter was originally folded and sealed with wax, the seal is not missing.

1. An undated letter addressed to 'Dear Mother'. Written and signed by William Berridge who at the time seems quite young. Presumably written while William was at boarding school..

2. Letter dated May 23rd 1849, at Smeeton Academy. Addressed to 'My Dear Parents', the writer (William Berridge) writes of coming home for the school holidays

3. An envelope which the items presumably came to the Museum in. Post dated 12 Oct 45, the envelop is addressed to Mr Norman Berridge.
