Description
A folded sheet of paper used to cover a letter sent by Rev. Charles Creed to the Secretary of the Wesleyan Missions, London, dated Feb 27th 1843.
At the time of purchase, this was noted as the earliest surviving usage of both the rectangular hand stamp and the crown oval duty stamp.
