Description
In 1941, at the instigation of Dot Eden (nee Andrews) and Nola Pentecost, Nev Roebuck, a New Plymouth builder decided to sponsor a marching team and Roebucks Marching Team was formed. It was the first team to be formed in Taranaki. the company sponsorship included purchase of all uniforms, boots, travel etc. The teams trained and competed from 1941 to the mid 1960s and a reunion was held in 1992.
The collection consists of a limited edition booklet produced by Pat Watson, nee Roebuck for the 1992 reunion and other material gathered during the reunion including photos and photocopied articles form various newspapers and magazines.
