Description
Te Manihera Keremeneta also known as Rure, was a close friend and helper of Suzanne Aubert (Mother Aubert), he lived at the Catholic Mission at Jerusalem on the Whanganui River and later supported Aubert in Wellington at the Home of Compassion, Island Bay.
The collection consists of diaries, notes, waiata, whakapapa, karakia, much of which is in Maori. In the early 1980s, Mr Kahui, from Opunake translated some of the papers and the handwritten translations are included in this collection.
