3 Mar.1860. Letter from the Governor to Poharama and his people. Explains the great-force of the British Imperial Army which will be sent to New Zealand. The Government agrees to buy the land of Te Teira at Waitara and outlines the reasons for Maori to come under the guardianship of the Government, 8 Mar. 1859. ; Mounted on board, stained and tears through middle, chipping on edges.
