 Description
A paper written by Reverend N. H. Gascoigne outlining the history of the Catholic Church in Taranaki and particularly New Plymouth and read on 15 August 1955. A post-script to this paper states 'The above has been taken from The Church in Taranaki, a sketch prepared for the Jubilee of the Hawera Parish 1875-1925, by the Right Reverend Monsignor P. J. Power, V.F., printed 1925.'
