Richard Barrett's Diary

Production date
1840-1849
Description
A retrospective and somewhat romantic account of Barrett's life written by his great granddaughter's husband and transcribed by Fred Butler.
A note on the front cover page states "Written by his great-granddaughter's husband, William Thomas Duffin, who died New Plymouth on 9 Sept 1943 at the age of 63 years. Note: This account contains valuable material, but it also contains whatever Mr Duffin thought fit to colour it with, also the dates do not stand investigation, always, with the known facts. F. B. B."
F. B. B. is assumed to be Fred B Butler.

A strong viewpoint made by H. Snow is at the Alexander Turnbull Library, MS2/75 (SNOW, Hazel): one. She challenges account written by Duffin, viz MS1736 held at the ATL back in 1989. Is Mr Duffin's diary available to view online? I have only 10 pages of it.
