Description
George Fuller arrived in New Zealand on the ship Cresswell in 1851.
The diary consists of entries describing daily events, beginning with the departure of the Cresswell from Gravesend 19th November 1850 through to 16 December 1850 of the voyage to New Zealand. Entries recommence 17th August 1851 and continue with irregular diary entries, copies of letters, accounts and cash expenditure written up until August 1859. The diary has also been used as a glossary of Maori language and Indian terms and phrases. His connections with India are unknown. Typewritten copy of diary, does not include accounts and expenditure entries or Maori language terms.
The letter to Harriet describes alterations to the house and a picnic.
