Toki Poutangata / Hei Tiki

Description
A large mid-green pounamu toki which is in the process of being converted into a hei tiki.The pounamu is stippled where feather fractures are present. There is the presence of chromite grains, chromite aggregates, pyrite and purplish-brown chlorite. A curved groove to denote the legs of the hei tiki is present on one side of the adze just above the cutting edge.
