Description
A Texas Toys truck. This is a set of four wooden block compartments that form a truck when they are assembled. All the components have small holes in them where wooden pegs can be inserted to connect the pieces. Some of the pieces have these pegs inserted in them. When the truck is assembled it has a metal hook at the front.

Gunnar Berger and Sons factory operated on the outskirts of Eltham from 1957 until about 1980. Many of the company's products were sold to local schools.
Gunnar Berger came from Sweden in 1951 to set up, in association with the Eltham Dairy Co-operative, an industry to extract lactose from milk. He was financed by a Danish millionaire, Borup Jorgensen, who initially accompanied him to Eltham.Two other Swedes, Nordmark and Person, were involved in the establishment of the factory-which was independent of the Lactose Company at Kapuni. Gunnar left the company to open his toy and puzzle factory in 1957.
