Description
An unframed botanical oil painting on canvas depicting a plant specimen with brown stems, leaves of varying shades of green, large textured red flowers and smaller red buds and cream buds. The background is softly coloured with pale pinks.
Fanny has identified this specimen as "Metrosideros Florida". An alternative identification is that the plant is a specimen of Merisideros fulgens, also known as the rāta vine.
