Description
View of Henry Weston's Garden in the valley of Arakoekoe Stream, Carrington Street (current site of New Plymouth District Council Civic Building), ca 1866-67. Demolished circa 1875 by construction of railway. A high fence is seen at the foreground of the photo, as well as a walkway just in front of that fence. There are people walking around and looking at a small model boat on the lake in the foreground. Top left hand corner shows buildings on Marsland Hill. Trees have been planted on the hill behind the lake with more mature trees in the background.
