Description
A furry mechanical dog with a moveable tongue, tail and ears. The main body is tan and the right ear, tail and collar are a darker brown. The nose, tongue and feet are painted metal. The dog moves on four wheels, two of which are attached to a circular disc for sideways movement. The mechanism is designed to be powered by two D sized batteries which are inserted vertically at the base. It has a red plastic on/off switch.

This toy dog was originally given to an elderly woman, who had no children of her own, by a suitor. The woman then gave it to the Leighton family of New Plymouth who cherished it as one of their favourite toys.
