Medals, Order of St. John
Description
Two mounted Order of St John medals. The left facing medal is a white enamelled Maltese cross, possibly a miniature of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem Commander decoration. The right facing medal is a Service Medal of the Order of St John. The obverse features a right facing profile of Queen Victoria.
" VICTORIA+D+G+BRITT+REG+F+D+IND+IMP " is marked on the inner edge of the medal and underscored with a decorative line. " J.W.SOMERTON NZ 3250 " is marked on the bottom edge of the medal. It is attached to a black and white striped ribbon by a simple straight suspension bar. Two bars are attached to the ribbon.
