Very proud of my Peters ancestry. My maternal Grandmother was Iris May Peters, daughter of Noble Bruno and Phoebe Jane, and she was the grand daughter of Henrik ( Harry) and Auguste Peters.( nee Shreck).

Harry is my great-grandfather too. My father was Doug Peters son of Noble Bruno and Phoebe Jane nee Torbet. My mother was Rita Rawlings. Nice to read the cousins still around in NZ and OZ.

The list of the people in this party can be seen on page 8 of the North Egmont Register of Visitors Dec 1891 - April 1898. Reference ARC 2002-812. There is also a brief account of the journey written by Mr Peters. He recorded that Stanley Collis possibly the wee boy sitting at the front was the youngest at 8 yrs old to have climbed the mountain to that date and the boy third from the right was the 10 year old son of Mr Jones and even though the boy was crippled had made it to the summit without much assistance
