Photograph of a large group of Waireka Veterans seated outside St Mary's Church in New Plymouth. This photograph is most likely to have been taken in 1910 at the 50th Anniversary of the 'Battle of Waireka'. Many of the men wear both the New Zealand medal, and the Royal NZA Veterans’ medal, which was issued in December 1908. Two men in the back row hold Waireka flags. All of the men are wearing hats.
