My father's family lived at top of Rona Road. To get there we'd walk from our home in Blake Street, Waitara to the brickyard building and up the lane beside it, and then cross the farmer's fields and watching out for the bulls. My mother, Mona would often us for that walk. Rona Road with lined on one side with high box-thorn hedges I don't remember the chimney, only peeping in the side door of the building. This period was in the 1950's.
