Description
Looking over the roof of St Mary's Church toward foreshore and former Puke Ariki Pā / Mt Eliot. The flagstaff and signal station can be seen and the pilot and signalman's houses are amongst other cottages on the hill. Vivian Street can be seen running horizontally across the photograph in the foreground. Part of Brougham Street can be seen in the distance heading down towards the sea. Houses and other buildings forming New Plymouth town can be seen on the land beyond the church. The Huatoki Stream is visible winding toward the sea to the right.
