Production date

Description
A gas kiln fired stoneware sculpture titled " Pair of Blue Ducks on Rock ". Both ducks have their heads down and wings against their body. The rock has four holes at the top and four powder coated cream steel rods protrude from them which the ducks are mounted on. When assembled the ducks point out in different directions. The rock has an eroded aspect near the top with three large gouges made in the surface. The rock is clay coloured with matte dark brown and ochre glazing and the gouges have had a blue green matte glaze applied on the interior surface. The ducks are grey with brown heads, yellow eyes and detailing on their breast where the upper glaze has been removed in circlets to reveal the brown glazing below. " Joyce Young / Blue Duck " engraved on the underside of the feet of both of the ducks.
