Powelliphanta 'Egmont'. A Egmont Snail, brown in colour. Shell has a broken part in the centre, revealing the inside of the shell.is very badly broken. An adhered label which has "5." handwritten on in black pen is attached to the shell. Situated in a cardboard box with a white label with handwritten text that reads ""Egmont" Paraphanta / Radford, Kent Rd".

It is one of the large land carnivorous snails that eats earthworms. They are endemic to New Zealand. Little is known about the species and their population status but they are susceptible to habitat loss and predation.
