Powelliphanta marchanti. A Marchants Land Snail, brown in colour. Interior is hollow. Underneath of shell has a hole. Situated in a cardboard box with a white label with black printed text that reads "P. marchanti (Powell, 1932) / N. face of Mt Manuoka, / near Waikaremoana, 4600 ft". A96.937-939 are also contained in this box.

This subspecies is found from Mt Manuoka, near Waikaremoana, north island. It is one of the large land carnivorous snails that eats earthworms. They are endemic to New Zealand. Little is known about the species and their population status but they are susceptible to habitat loss and predation.
