Description
Powelliphanta marchanti. A Marchants Land Snail, browns in colour. Interior has had cotton wool inserted. Situated in a cardboard box with a white label with black printed text that reads "P. marchanti (Powell, 1932) / N. face of Mt Manuoka, / near Waikaremoana, 4600 ft". A96.937-939 are also contained in this box.

island.
It
is
one
of
the
large
land
carnivorous
snails
that
eats
earthworms.
They
are
endemic
to
New
Zealand.
Little
is
known
about
the
species
and
their
population
status
but
they
are
susceptible
to
habitat
loss
and
predation.
