Powelliphanta lignaria rotella. A Woodformed Land Snail, striped in brown tones. Interior is hollow. Situated in a small cardboard box with a white label with black printed text that reads "Paryphanta lignaria rotella (Powell, 1938) / In bush between Seddonville and Mokihinui R.". Another piece of paper inside the box has red handwriting that reads "rotella / suddonville". A96.850 is also contained in this box.

This subspecies is found in the South Island in Seddonville in Northern westland. It is a large carnivorous species that eats earthworms, insects and other small snails. This sub-species is listed as nationally endangered.
