Butterflies, Framed
Description
Two butterflies, mounted with metal pins, and framed in a pale wooden box with a whitewash appearance and glass panel. Butterflies are coloured green and black (top), and dark brown and cream (lower). White label with black printed text beneath the top butterfly reads "Papilio blumei / (Celebes)", and lower label reads "Papilio rumanzovia / (Philippines)" both are secured by metal pins. "SYD / L62" is handwritten on an adhered label on the top right side of the frame and covered with selotape. The rear of the frame has hooks and string for hanging. Six metal screws hold the frame together, evident from the top and lower edges of the rear.
