Butterflies, Framed (Rajah Brooke's Birdwing)
Description
Two Rajah Brooke's Birdwing butterflies. A male specimen is at the top, and a female specimen is mounted at the bottom. The butterflies are coloured in shades of green and brown and mounted with metal pins on a white piece of card and contained within a deep black wooden frame with interior sides coloured gold. White adhered label with black printed text reads " Trogonoptera brookiana albescens ( MALAYSIA ) / RAJAH BROOKE'S BIRDWING / [Japanese characters and a gender symbol]". "No 115" stamped along the lower rear edge of the frame. Triangular metal hook at centre top allows for hanging. Rear of frame has a brown paper tape border sealing pale green card.
