A beetle, green shell and wings out-stretched. Encased within two pieces of glass held together by a wood frame which has a black adhered covering. An adhered transparent label with black printed ink reads "Dicranorrhina micans. (Uganda)" beneath the beetle. A triangular adhered label is located on the lower right edge depicting an image of a yellow outline of a kangaroo against a green background. "AUSTRALIAN MADE" is printed underneath the image. A single screw and triangular hook is secured to the top of the frame to allow for hanging. A partial hole has been drilled into the centre lower edge of the frame and has a metal pin protruding outwards.
This species is native to the African tropics. Only males have the 'T' shaped horn on it the forehead.
