Beetle, Framed
Description
A beetle coloured black, mounted on a white piece of card and contained within a deep black wooden frame, interior sides coloured gold. Text is printed in black on a white adhered label below the beetle, "Chalcosoma moellenkampi / Tapah hills / Malaysia". Triangular metal hook at centre top allows for hanging. Rear of frame has a brown paper tape border sealing a pale green piece of card.

and
appears
to
occur
only
on
Borneo.
The
large
males
of
this
species
are
aggressive
towards
other
males
and
can
not
be
kept
together
in
captivity
as
they
cause
injuries
to
each
other.
