Butterflies, Framed
Description
A group of 2 butterflies, each mounted with a single pin and transparent plastic 'dome'. The specimens are encased within two pieces of glass held together by a wood frame which has a black adhered covering. An adhered transparent label with black printed ink reads "E.serville." beneath the top butterfly. The same labels beneath the second butterfly read "E.agesilaus." and "Peruvian Eurytides." Both butterflies are various browns and creams in colouring. A triangular adhered label is located on the lower right edge depicting an image of a yellow outline of a kangaroo against a green background. "AUSTRALIAN MADE" is printed underneath the image. A single screw and triangular hook is secured to the top of the frame to allow for hanging. A partial hole has been drilled into the centre lower edge of the frame.
