A South Georgian Diving Petrel (although could be a common diving petrel). Mounted on a piece of wood, belly touching the base, wings out stretched and bill open. Black, grey and white colourings.

Georgian
diving
petrel
generally
breeds
on
high
open
scree
fields
in
subantarctic
islands.
However
in
New
zealand
the
population
breeds
at
sea
level
in
sand
dunes
near
the
sub-tropical
convergence.
This
is
under
investigation
as
it
has
been
suggested
that
the
New
Zealand
population
is
a
separate
species.
