The
diving
petrel
is
a
small
species.
It
is
found
around
exposed
coastal
waters
in
New
Zealand.
They
are
vulnerable
to
introduced
predators
and
are
mainly
found
on
islands
where
introduced
predators
are
absent.
It
has
been
estimated
that
there
is
probably
over
1
million
pairs
in
New
Zealand.
