Description
A 77 x 140.5 cm rectangular mirror with ornately carved, dark stained, wooden frame which has been heavily varnished. Carving consists of floral and scroll motifs. Actual mirror glass size 45.5 x 120.5cm. Width of frame down both sides and along bottom is around 10cm wide. Additional decoration on top consisting of two scroll-like motifs and a central arch with flat circular knob on each end. Backed with much discoloured paper. Hung by a chain attached to top edge. Designed by Violet Bathurst; carved by Bertha Bathurst.
