Lamp, Vaporising
Description
A Three Carboys Brand Cresylene Vaporising Lamp. The round metal lamp with a wick is housed in a cylindrical metal holder. One side of the holder has been cut out to reveal the lamp resting in the base. There are three small circular cut outs at the top top front. " BRITISH MAKE REGD DESN 85588 " is marked on the base. There is a removable dish or pan to be inserted at the top of the holder for the Cresylene Liquid. Lamp comes complete with an instruction leaflet and cardboard box. It is likely to date from pre-1930, as after this time electrical options tended to replace the spirit versions.
