Description
A woman's military khaki cotton drill frock which is unlined and lightweight and has a small collar. There are nine large brown plastic buttons down the front with a smaller brown plastic button at neckline. There is a single small brown plastic button at each sleeve cuff. It has a single lower right front pocket. A button on the pocket for fastening the flap is now missing. It has an additional extension flap at the waist with a brass catch on the end which attaches to a brass hook inside the waist. " N.Z. ?? / ?? 1942 " is stamped in black on the inside lining behind the pocket. " 11 / HOR / KIDD " is handwritten in black ink inside the neckline of the collar.

This uniform is thought to be part of the New Zealand Womens Army Auxiliary Corps or the Womens War Service Auxiliary from World War II. It was previously used in the Hawera Repertory Society's wardrobe hire section.
