Small Fantail nest. Nest is compact, circular and open, with a wide edge and small central cup, and is composed of grass, moss, twigs, bark and rootlets, bound together with cobwebs and lined with hair or fibre. Small note with handwritten text in ink on it inside nest reads as follows: "Nest of pied fantails / over Te Marama stream / nov. 1933. / Eggs in collection." In fair condition.
