Description
A khaki green Swanndri. There is a replacement metal zipper down the centre front and two lower front pockets. There is an elasticised band attached and two buttons for adjustment at the back waistline and black plastic buttons at each sleeve cuff. The grey wool lining covers the fronts and backs but not the sleeves. The manufacturer's label inside the back neckline depicts the company swan logo and reads: "SWANNDRI / REGD TRADE MARK / THIS GARMENT IS GUARANTEED / ALL WOOL WATERPROOF / IT MAY BE DRIED BEFORE A FIRE" on a black label with gold-coloured embroidered text.

Lloyd Frederickson was a travelling Salesman in South Auckland during the late 1940s - early 1950s. He sold this jacket to a farmer who returned it because it was not waterproof. Lloyd kept the jacket. He dates the jacket to sometime between 1949 and 1955.
