Description
Great Cormorant (Phalacrocorax carbo). Large cormorant - dark blackish brown colourings. Upper wing coverts grey brown with broad black corners and bronze sheen. Base of tail feathers grey. Plumage fades to dark brown with sandy edges to coverts. White throat patch starting behind eye. Legs and feet black and webbed. Stout bill with large hook. Unmounted with legs extended flat under body. Neck extended out horizontally. In fair condition. Two wire hooks evident at upper rear of bird.
